Fees

We represent Chapter 7 debtors on a flat fee basis. Fees for a Chapter 7 range from a minimum of $1,500.00 to a maximum of $5,000.00, depending on the complexity of the case. The typical fee for a Chapter 7 is $2,500.00. The fee covers many things that paralegals cannot do, and other bankruptcy attorneys charge extra for. The fee must be paid in full prior to the actual filing of the petition to start the case.  All costs are included except the Bankruptcy Court filling fee, which is $306.00 for a Chapter 7.

Fees for Chapter 13 cases have been set by the judges of the Central District of California.  Total fees for debtors who are employed by a company are $4,000.00 and for debtors who are self-employed, $5,000.00.  Complicated cases may involve additional fees.  We will file your case for you typically for $2,500.00 up front with the remainder of the fees paid through your Chapter 13 plan.  The filing fee is $281.00.

Chapter 11 cases are handled on an hourly basis. My hourly rate is $385.00/hour. The hourly rate for Roksana Moradi is $265.00 and for law clerks Elizabeth Massaad and Carolyn Afari is $95.00.  We do not bill time by our paralegal Rosario Zubia.  These rates are substantially less than those charged by other bankruptcy attorneys with similar experience.

The typical Chapter 11 retainer is $20,000.00 for an individual or small business Chapter 11. The filing fee is $1,046.00.  Total fees for Chapter 11 cases run from $20,000.00 to $100,000.00 and more.

Adversary Proceedings and Motions are handled on an hourly basis with the hourly rates set forth above.
